Concertina workshop with Kate McNamara

Join us for an exciting concertina workshop with the brilliant Kate McNamara! In this workshop you’ll learn the fundamentals of playing this incredible instrument, as well as learning to play along with some traditional music. This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience. Kate is a concertina player from Tulla, Co. Clare, known for the rhythmic East Clare style and influenced by local traditional musicians. she has travelled the world performing and teaching, from China to South Africa as well as much of Europe. Alongside her music career, she works as a Nurse Practitioner at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham while completing a Master’s in Advanced Clinical Practice. She has recently started her family here, in Beeston and looks forward to passing down the tradition to the next generation.
